From beginner to advanced, our classes are taught both solo and learning to dance with partners. Included in our Teen Classes is the opportunity to learn formation choreography, and participate in floorshow performances! Tuesdays from 6pm (12years+)
From beginner to advanced, covering all different dance styles, such as the cha cha, waltz, salsa, jive, tango and more. Learn and practice with other classmates and staff: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7pm.
Make your first dance together one to remember, with a personally choreographed routine to the music and style of your choice. We have casual pay-as-you-go options but also lesson packages to suit all levels and needs, ranging from just the basic moves to more "YouTube" worthy performances!
Essential for competitive couples and those wanting to take their dancing to the next level. With the choice of 30, 45, or 60minute lesson options, and on a day and time that suits you (subject to availablity of staff) lessons can be one on one with the instructor of your choice, or shared by up to 3 people. We also have the option of senior qualified teachers and competitive coaches and can also cater for larger private groups for wedding parties or corporate events.
The Tangueria-Sidewalk Tango is the dance company of Dianne Heywood-Smith, professional tango dancer, choreographer and international touring tango teacher. Sidewalk Tango and has been officially recognised by Argentina for the substantial contribution made to Argentinian Tango and in 2010 was proclaimed Australian Tango Ambassadors by the Argentinean Embassy in Canberra. All classes and lessons are taught giving all due respect to the origin, historical background and traditional culture of tango Argentino. Private Lessons by appointment. A great way to improve and measure your progress. Structured classes; style specific, from Bronze (beginner) through to Silver (intermediate) and Gold (advanced) Levels. Generally run over a 10 week term with an assessment at the end of Term. Adults: Mondays & Wednesdays. Teens: Tuesdays. Kids: Saturdays.
Known as "DanceSport" these classes will help kickstart any level dancer into the world of Competitive Dance. With workshops and stamina sessions, these classes are the perfect way to implement new technique to your routines, and put those skills into practice before taking the competition floor! All classes are run by a qualified DanceSport accredited coach.
Specifically designed for dancers, this class is a combination of stretching, yoga, cardio, barre and more, all tailored toward getting your body ready for dancing - whether new to dance, or returning from a break, these exercises will minimise the risk of injury when performing more high impact moves. All classes run by a fully qualified personal fitness trainer AND dance teacher.
No partner required; we provide a mixture of progressive and non-progressive dances for you to socialise and practice with other students and staff, covering all styles from ballroom to latin, street latin and new vogue. Adults: Mondays & Wednesdays from 8pm. Teens: Tuesdays from 6pm
